Normally you will see Mission, Vision, and Values all together. We decided to give our Values section it's very own tab. Words like Loyalty, Accountability, Compassion, and Honesty come to mind. The "Why" of what we do is so important as it shapes our culture and by extension everything we do with patient care. Care being the operative word in that last sentence. Ultimately what it boils down to, is that we are called upon to provide excellent care for patients on possibly the worst day of their lives. It may seem routine to us, but to them, we are their source of answers and comfort. We have to arrive at the patient's side ready to perform at our best. It isn't about how well we can start an IV, or read an EKG strip, or memorize a medication dose. Those things are very important, but ultimately we have to care and that feeling needs to get from our heart to the patient in no uncertain terms. It guides everything that we do. It is my job as an Administrator to make sure that the crews have everything they need to be successful in this endeavor. - Matt Bowen
What we do every day is supported by taxes that are paid by the visitors and residents of Linn County that make purchases and own property in Linn County. To that end, we have a responsibility to be good stewards of those taxes and be transparent in how we use them. We are also dedicated to reevaluating our tax base regularly in order to ensure that we are only taking what we need. This is the trust that has been placed upon us, and we take this responsibility very seriously.
